Ride 001 Complete – Mysore to Bangalore

Ride 001 Complete – Mysore to Bangalore

Motorcycle riders on the Bangalore Mysore road are a common sight. I never felt alone while riding solo in this busy highway. I encountered all types of vehicles including high-end cars and motor cycles zooming past me and vanishing in no time. After all, I was riding the Royal Enfield 350 and everybody knows that this thumper is bit slow but steady. I enjoyed the ride though.

Ride Review

I started from Bengaluru on Friday evening before the close of office hours, at 4.30 pm to be precise, and had no hard time crossing the city. If I had left after 6 pm, I would have struck in the traffic.

However, my leaving early did not help much to reach early as I spent considerably more time in Decathlon just to buy one waterproof jacket.

Riding continuously for hours is no good to the riders. It is best to stop at least once every hour to stretch. This will help to reduce ride fatigue. I gave a stop at McDonalds!

I was already late by more than an hour so did not give any stop until I reached my home in Mysore. While on the way, I received news of my far relative is demise.

At about 7 am, I managed to buy a garland (the flower shops opens little late) and headed to my relatives house to pay my last respect.

In the evening, I kick started the bullet and headed to the Chamundi Hills. After spending some time at the top, I came down near the Lalithamahal helipad to witness the after party of Dasara Kite Festival. The citizens were having real fun here.

I reached the Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas) just in time to witness the magnificent palace lights. It was an awesome movement.

After having breakfast at home, I started to Bengaluru. I saw a Maruti Swift Dezire accidentally parked on the divider. It seemed like the driver took a sudden left and right turn to avoid the parked truck.

I stopped for some refreshments at Maddur diary and later somewhere before Chennapatna to take this beautiful pic of paddy field.

The next stop was near the Bangalore Town Hall, it was a very short one to attend the phone call from home.

The Mysore to Bangalore road trip in motorcycle was a refreshing one. The ride did give pain to the body but this was required to divert from other types of mental stresses.

I have done many rides before but this is my first motorcycle ride for this blog. Hope you saw all posts from this ride. If you want to explore Bangalore or Mysore, just click on the link and you may find something interesting.
